Religious Education
Welcome to all who seek resources for liberal religious education (RE)! What is RE? Your children may express beliefs that surprise you in some ways. Or, even more personally, your beliefs may have been strong when you were younger, but you've found cause to question religious dogmas of the past. You may have been taught things when you were a child that did not resonate with you as truthful. You have questioned and grown skeptical. Religious growth and learning is about exploring our innermost beliefs and listening respectfully to others. We journey with others to find truth that resonates with reality. RE offers many avenues for exploration—not an exclusive “Way” or “Truth.” If any premise of RE is dogmatic, it is probably that there are many paths to truth, understanding and the Spirit of Life. Blessed be! RE provokes family discussions and sustains them in their search for meaning and ultimacy. This is not a fearful journey but a rational one with twists and turns and heaven on earth.
